How to Make Cute Love Birds Insert Cards for Valentine’s Day

LEARN TO MAKE CUTE LOVE BIRDS INSERT CARDS FOR VALENTINE'S DAY USING ANY CRICUT CUTTING MACHINE

Here is another quick and easy Valentine's Day card for you. I think this one is so adorable!

The little love birds are holding a cute heart that the machine cuts out.

Quick note: The cutout is designed to cut a little “off center”. This gives it a little depth and dimension.

Like all of my insert cards on the blog, you can use any Cricut cutting machine to create this card. In the download, you will find two folders inside. One for Cricut Explore and Cricut Maker and one for Cricut Joy.

For this tutorial, I will be using my Cricut Maker as well as the corresponding SVG file. To make this card on a Cricut Joy, follow the basic steps from my Mom & Me Insert Card.

In this tutorial, I’ll give you my step by step instructions and tell you what materials I think work best when making this project.

You can purchase the SVG file for this project in my shop here.

  1. For the Joy version of the card when I try to make it the birds end up being drawn upside-down on the card. How can you correct that in DS.

  2. Hi Nick
Love your insert cards. Thank you for your continued generosity and kindness in sharing the cut files with us. Could you please tell me if the Love Birds Insert card is purchase only. I’ve checked the Freebies library but the only one there is the Gnome Insert Card. If it is a purchase file I will add it to my wishlist!! Thank you.

    1. Hi, Steffie,

I’m so glad you like these insert cards. Yes, the Love Birds Insert Card is now purchase only.

When I do a Quick & Easy Card Series, the cards are in my freebie library until the next one debuts. After that, they head to the shop.

  3. Thanks for letting me know, Nick. Unfortunately for me, I did not receive the email for that design (double checked spam folder, too). Will put it on my wish list. Have a great day.

  4. I love your cards…they are so simple and cute! Thank you for sharing them with us! I was wondering if you could explain how you create thick drawing lines like the ones in these birds? I always have a problem with everything changing to an outline when I change it from cut to draw.
