HOW TO MAKE EASY INSERT CARDS FOR FATHER'S DAY

Father's Day is in a few days. Do you have a card for dear old Dad yet? No time to run to the grocery store or greeting card shop? Don't worry! These Father's Day Insert Cards are the perfect way to say how much Dad means to you!

These insert cards were inspired by the new Insert Card blanks made for the Cricut Joy. I loved the simplicity of these cards and wanted to design something that would be quick and easy to throw together!

In this tutorial, I’ll give you my step by step instructions and tell you what materials I think work best when making this project.

STEP 5 - MAKE YOUR MATERIAL SELECTIONS AND PREPARE YOUR MATS

Select your cardstock from the Materials list. I used Medium Cardstock for this tutorial.

Now you're ready to prepare your mat and make the cuts!

STEP 6 - LOADING YOUR MATS AND CUTTING YOUR MATERIALS

Attach your cardstock to the Cricut LightGrip Mat. The LightGrip Mat
is perfect for cardstock projects as it is sturdy enough to hold onto
the cardstock but won't tear the paper when you release your design.

To load the mat into the machine, press the double arrows button. Do make sure that the mat is positioned under the mat guides.

load mat

Hit the "C" button once it begins to flash and you are on your way to cutting out your card!

begin the cut

Once the cut is complete, the double arrows will flash again. Press it
and the mat will unload.

When removing the card, peel your mat away from the card rather than peeling your card away from the mat. This will help prevent curling.

Repeat Step 6 until all layers are cut.

STEP 7 - ASSEMBLE YOUR CARD

Start by folding the card in half along the fold line.
