Thanksgiving Paper Clocks

LEARN TO MAKE FUN AND FESTIVE TURKEY CLOCKS OUT OF PAPER USING YOUR CRICUT

Well, the Halloween decor has been put away and it's time to talk turkey! I am not big on Thanksgiving decor but, this year, I wanted to create something cute! So, I designed this adorable Thanksgiving paper clock to let everyone know that “It's Time to Gobble!”

In this tutorial, I’ll give you my step by step instructions and tell you what materials I think work best when making this project.

I created this file to be used with your Cricut cutting machine BUT you can also print out the PDF versions on your home printer. Note: If you decide to print off the design, you will need legal size cardstock!

Basic and Premium TBH Crafters Club Members can download the SVG cut file for this project in the File Library.

STEP 4 - PREP YOUR MATS AND MAKE YOUR MATERIAL SELECTIONS

I am using Cricut Medium Cardstock for this project.

STEP 5 - LOADING YOUR MATS AND CUTTING THE IMAGE

Once you have placed your cardstock onto your mat, load the cutting mat into the machine by pressing the flashing ARROW button.

You will know the machine is ready to cut your material when you see the flashing "C" button. Press that to start the cut.

Follow Design Space prompts to change out the scoring wheel, fine point cutting blade, and pen.

Once the cut is complete, make sure to peel the mat away from the cardstock rather than the cardstock from the mat. This will prevent any curling of your design.

Repeat Step 5 for until all layers have been cut.

STEP 6 - ASSEMBLE YOUR CLOCK

Once everything is cut, start assembling your clock by layering the turkey's feathers.

Apply adhesive to the backside of the red feather layer.

STEP 7 - INSERT THE CLOCK FACE

Insert the battery into the back of your clock face.

Carefully insert the clock into the cavity on the turkey's front. I created four slits in the layer to help secure the clock once standing up. Be careful not to add too much pressure as this could crease the cardstock.
