Stacked Fourth of July Cards
LEARN TO MAKE FESTIVE STACKED CARDS FOR FOURTH OF JULY USING YOUR CRICUT CUTTING MACHINE
Can you believe is it soon the Fourth of July? Crazy!
I wanted to try out a new technique so I created this stacked Fourth of July card. The card comes together by stacking the layers of cardstock to get the desired affect. This way it is easier to line everything up and creates a cool depth to the card.
I am using some patterned Fourth of July paper to help with the theme. Links are below if you are interested in the paper.
In this tutorial, I’ll give you my step by step instructions and tell you what materials I think work best when making this project.

You will see I have set all the score lines and draw lines for you.
Click the GREEN Make It button.
STEP 3 - MAKE YOUR MATERIAL SELECTIONS AND PREPARE YOUR MATS
You will see the seven layers for this card in the mat preview. Click the CONTINUE button.
For this tutorial, I am using Medium Cardstock. Select your materials accordingly.
I suggest you change your pressure setting to MORE.
Attach your cardstock to the Cricut StandardGrip Mat using the Cricut Brayer.
STEP 4 - LOADING YOUR MATS AND CUTTING YOUR MATERIALS
To load the mat into the machine, press the double arrows button. Do make sure that the mat is positioned under the mat guides.
You will know the machine is ready to cut your material when you see the flashing "C" button. Press that to start the cut.
Follow Design Space prompts to change out the scoring wheel, fine point cutting blade, and pen.
Once the cut is complete, make sure to peel the mat away from the cardstock rather than the cardstock from the mat. This will prevent any curling of your design.
Repeat Step 4 for until all layers have been cut.
STEP 5 - ASSEMBLE YOUR CARD
Now that everything is cut, we can start to assemble the card.
Stack the balloon layer in this order.
Add adhesive to the back of the red layer.
Place onto the white layer and press into place.
Continue this step until all layers are stacked.
Apply glue to any areas that may not be sticking.
This is how your stacked layer should look once done.
Add adhesive to the back of the stacked layer.
Apply to the decorative layer making sure to center it.
Now, fold the outer card along the score line.
Use your scraper to press the fold.
Add adhesive to the back of the decorative layer.
Place onto the outside of the outer card layer and press into place. Make sure to center it.
STEP 6 - ASSEMBLE THE ENVELOPE
Begin by folding the envelope along the score lines.
Press the folds with your scraper.
Add glue or adhesive to the side flaps.
Bring the bottom flap up forming the envelope.
Your card is now complete.
I just love the festive and look this card has. The balloons turned out so cute and the patterned paper really make the whole thing pop! I hope you get a chance to make this one.
