How to Make a Cute Easter Boy Insert Card

LEARN HOW TO MAKE CUTE EASTER BOY INSERT CARDS USING ANY CRICUT CUTTING MACHINE
How adorable is this little boy? I love how he is dressed up in his little sweater, holding his Easter balloon, and ready to celebrate!
Like all of my insert cards on the blog, you can use any Cricut cutting machine to create this card. In the download, you will find two folders inside. One for Cricut Explore and Cricut Maker and one for Cricut Joy.
For this tutorial, I will be using my Cricut Maker as well as the corresponding SVG file. To make this card on a Cricut Joy, follow the basic steps from my Easter Egg Insert Card. Remember to ungroup, convert the boy outline to pen, and attach the group before cutting!
In this tutorial, I’ll give you my step by step instructions and tell you what materials I think work best when making this project.
You can purchase the SVG cut file for this project in my shop here.

Follow Design Space prompts to change out the scoring wheel, pen, and fine point cutting blade.

Weed any bits of the card that did not release when removing the card from the mat.

Hi Nick, unfortunately have not had any luck with the Easter boy card. I believe two of the mats are identical and do not correspond with the illustrations for the layers. Please advise. Cheers. Margaret
Hi, Margaret,
I’m sorry you’re having issues with this file. Please email me at hello@thebeardedhousewife.com with a screen shot of your DS canvas so I can take a look and give you some feedback. Thanks!
Hi Nick, I also am having an issue with the boy card, It is just tearing to shreds when I cut it. Tried new blade and mat. Using #65 card stock. Any suggestions? Have a Blessed day, Grace
Hi Grace,
Did you convert the outline to pen and attach the outline to the cut layer like I show in the tutorial?
Hi Nick, please disregard the last message from me. I am a ditz lol and was trying to cut the boy out instead of drawing him. Making a new one now (after taking the time to read the instructions and wasting two sheets of paper) Coming out great so far. Amazing what a little time reading instructions will do. Will post my finished product soon.
